On 13 November 2016, Dr Liddicoat will present at a workshop in Australia on gene editing. This workshop will include sessions on: the science of gene editing; regulation and governance; and how recent legal decisions may affect the development of new applications of gene editing technology. Dr Liddicoat’s presentation will focus on the implications of recent patent law decisions (on patentable subject matter) for the development of gene editing-based human therapies.
