Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences

Faculty of Law

We were delighted to welcome Dr Eric Ip from Hong Kong University to the Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences (LML) at the Cambridge Faculty of Law. Dr Ip visited Cambridge this March as part of the Herbert Smith Freehills Global Visitor Programme.

During his visit, Dr. Ip engaged in a series of discussions and with our faculty and researchers, including a productive meeting with Professor Kathy Liddell, Director of LML.

The Herbert Smith Freehills Global Visitor Programme is a prestigious initiative that fosters international collaboration and knowledge exchange. Under this programme, the Faculty of Law at Cambridge has reciprocal staff visiting agreements with leading institutions such as Harvard Law School, the National University of Singapore, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Toronto, and the University of Auckland. This programme enables the Cambridge Faculty of Law to host one visitor per year from each of these institutions, while also providing opportunities for Cambridge faculty members to visit partner institutions. The programme aims to strengthen global academic ties and promote the sharing of ideas and expertise in the field of law.

Dr. Ip's visit provided to foster deeper connections between our institutions. His expertise in health law and policy contributed significantly to our ongoing research and discussions.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Ip for his visit and to Herbert Smith Freehills for facilitating this exchange. We look forward to future collaborations and continued engagement.
