This November, LML was pleased to take part in the Science, Technology and Society (STS) Fishbowl Experiment organised by the Science and Technology Studies Cambridge Network (SCaN). The experimental workshop, conducted in an open, rotating “fishbowl” discussion format, brought together diverse stakeholders to shape an emerging interdisciplinary agenda for STS in Cambridge.
The event drew participants from the University of Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University, industry, and the creative sector. Discussions focused on the current landscape of STS in Cambridge and the possibilities for a coordinated, collaborative research programme.
SCaN is the most recent member to join the Cambridge Network for Values And Science (CANVAS), hosted by LML to connect centres, departments, and individual scholars working at the intersection of humanities and the life sciences.
LML was delighted to contribute to this successful and forward-looking initiative advancing societal welfare through scholarship on science and technology.
