Dr Stevie Martin, a member of LML, recently presented evidence on human rights and assisted dying to the Parliamentary Joint Select Committee on Human Rights. 

The Joint Select Committee on Human Rights is a body comprising twelve members from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It examines human rights within the United Kingdom and the compatibility with human rights of every Government Bill.

Dr Stevie Martin appeared alongside prominent legal experts, including Paul Bowen KC (Barrister, Brick Court Chambers, Deputy High Court Judge, Administrative Court and Family Division), Professor Richard Ekins (Professor of Law and Constitutional Government, The University of Oxford, Head of Judicial Power Project, Policy Exchange), and James Strachan KC (Barrister, 39 Essex Chambers).

Dr Martin is a College Lecturer in Law and Fellow/Bye-Fellow at Fitzwilliam and King's Colleges.
