Two members of LML, Dr Stephanie Palmer and Dr Stevie Martin have been appointed (alongside Dr Kirsty Hughes) as the General Editors of the European Human Rights Law Review (EHRLR).

The EHRLR is the leading human rights law journal providing unrivalled, cutting-edge coverage of key issues in human rights law. It is at the forefront of serious discussion and debate on the European Convention on Human Rights, the wider international framework for the protection of human rights and the Human Rights Act 1998.

Kirsty, Stevie and Stephanie write:

"It is an immense honour to continue the work of Jonathan Cooper OBE who was an inspiration to all who work in human rights. This is a critical time for human rights as the government is currently proposing to overhaul the Human Rights Act 1998 whilst also moving legislation through Parliament that would restrict a number of rights. We are therefore committed to ensuring that the EHRLR offers a forum for rigorous, peer-reviewed analysis of the law and legal developments with insights from academia, the legal profession, the judiciary and NGOs.

The EHRLR publishes six issues a year and has scope for shorter as well as longer pieces, we are therefore well placed to publish swift responses to important developments. We warmly welcome informal enquiries as well as formal submissions, all of which should be sent to EHRLR.editor@gmail.com."
