The Thomas Edison Innovation Law and Policy Fellowship is a year-long non-resident programme that brings together leading scholars to develop research on topical issues. The Edison Fellowship is one of the centrepieces of the Centre for the Protection of Intellectual Property's mission to promote a better academic discussion about intellectual property rights based on rigorous research that examines the moral and economic value of innovation.

Dr Liddicoat will work on a project addressing incentives surrounding drug repurposing. In particular, he will pioneer the idea of using data on clinical trials to show how incentives for innovation change over the lifecycle of drugs.
