In light of the present public health situation, the Cambridge Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences has created a publicly accessibly Google Drive document:
COVID-19: Literature on the Legal and Ethical Issues Facing Front-line Healthcare Professionals
This compilation is intended to support transparent and public discussion, particularly during forthcoming weeks when a surge of serious COVID-19 infections is expected to outstrip intensive care resources. In particular, it is unlikely that there will be sufficient mechanical ventilators for all those who could benefit from supportive oxygenation while their bodies fight the virus.
Our compilation is UK/EU-focused, and is intended to complement the very useful US compilations that are accessible via portals such as:
- Bioethics.net, 'Bioethics Toolkit Resources for COVID-19' (March 19 2020)
- Thomas Cunningham (Kaiser Permanente), Collection of Pandemics Guidance and Articles
- The Hastings Center, 'Ethics Resources on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)' (March 2020)
- The American Medical Association, 'COVID-19 (2019 novel coronavirus) Resource Center for Physicians' (updated 25 March 2020)
