Dr Skopek on big data and privacy at the Biodata World Congress 2016

Dr Skopek is an invited speaker and panelist at the BioData World Congress, to be held at the Wellcome Genome Campus, Cambridge, on 26-27 Oct 2016.  

He will participate in a roundtable discussion on "Genomic Data Privacy" with co-panelists James Weatherall (Executive Director & Head, Advanced Analytics Centre, AstraZeneca), Anna Middleton (Head of Social Science and Ethics, Wellcome Genome Campus), John Taysom (Board Member & Non-Executive Director, Web Science Trust, Senior Fellow, Advanced Leadership Initiative, Harvard University), and Hilary Newiss (Chair, National Voices).  

He will then present a paper titled: "Privacy in Numbers? Biological Bodies of Data, Big Data's Epistemology, and the Legal and Ethical Status of Health Inferences."
